Celebrating internationalisation at The Satakunta International Peoples’ Fair

Satakunta International Peoples’ Fair supports connections between local residents and the international community of Satakunta.

The International office from SAMK Campus Rauma participated in the Satakunta International Peoples’ Fair held at Poselli in October. The event was organised for the first time in the autumn of 2023 in Pori at Puuvilla mall, where the international community of Satakunta was celebrated with dance and music performances. The event is organised by International Professionals and this year it took place in Rauma, hosted by International House Rauma.

Many local organisations who support the international community were represented with their own stand, amongst them the staff from the international office from Campus Rauma represented SAMK, during the event they answered questions about the English degrees SAMK offer.

International students from SAMK supported the event by assisting with reception management, technical needs, and serving refreshments to participants, allowing students to develop skills that are directly transferable to professional environments.

Throughout the event there were musical performances and dance performances which reflected the multi-cultural environment of Satakunta. at the end of the fair it was announced that it will be held in Huittinen next year.
